How it works

Arrive & Check In

Your remote wingman will text you a check-in link, tap in with your self description, fun fact, and a selfie. You'll have each person's name and description (they have yours too).

"Hey, are you Max?"

Your phone tells you who to meet next - about every 10 minutes. Move freely, sit, stand, chat. It's like a flirty scavenger hunt!

Break the ice with prompts

Each date will have new convo prompts on screen to help break the ice. Cycle through as many as you'd like. Use them or don't, they'll always be there just in case.

Keep track of who stood out

After each date, you'll have the option to jot down quick notes and first impressions. Just for you. Helps you stay intentional and remember the sparks when it's time to match. Or the flops.

Match after, not during

After the event, you'll select who you'd like to keep connecting with outside our events. If they select you too, we'll share each of your first names and numbers the next day when matches reveal.

To keep the experience low pressure, our events don't have an in-person host (no one hovering with a buzzer and a clipboard). Story runs everything remotely as your mission control. She'll text you on event day, and though she'll be busy confirming arrivals and managing pairings, she's always one text away if you need her. She's a real human, and she's rooting for you.

Things to know

What's included

Your spot gets you a night off the apps: a room full of singles in your age range, in your city, looking for the same thing you are - in person. It covers the guided experience, your remote host all night, and secure matching after. Drinks aren't included. Be sure to bring your ID - venues may check.

Arrive & check in by 7:25pm

This deadline is when your remote host locks in the final lineup for the night. Check in once you're at the venue - your first date will come looking for you as soon as pairings start. With intimate group sizes, a missing person means someone gets stood up, so it's strict. Out of consideration for other daters, if you're running behind, text your host right away; if your plans changed, cancel your spot. No word and no check-in by the deadline counts as a no-show.

Plan for the full 2 hours

Your dates are scheduled across the 2 hour duration - leaving early without letting us know means your later dates will get stood up, looking for someone who isn't there. If an emergency comes up, you must text your remote host before you go; leaving without a word risks the no-show fee and your access to future events.

Community ground rules

We hold behavior to a high standard to help keep the experience of meeting new people fun and respectful. We all look out for each other: anyone can report any of their dates for breaking ground rules, during the event or after. Breaking the rules risks removal from the event and/or revoked access to all future events. Full ground rules in our FAQ.

We remember who you've met

Luvvly is built for coming back until you find your person. Occasionally seeing a familiar face is entirely normal. If someone you've met before is coming, your remote host will text you before the event with options. While many folks are happy to chat again, if either of you decide you'd rather skip getting paired, you'll simply get a short break instead while the night rolls on.

Dress

No dress code, simply wear what makes you feel best. Think of it as a casual first date over coffee/drinks.

Dating will take place in the front bar section of Bananas. It's open seating. Please stay in this area so your dates can easily find you.
